TALLER TALL SPACE

A critique/interactive/party/pop-up/secret/whatever/napping/infinity space that exists in the Cranbrook sculpture department space colloquially referred to on campus as “Tall Space”.

Over a two week period the space, consisting of a stairway to a small platform behind the wall, was used for a variety of events, and interactive experiences, from a hotel, to a smoothie bar, to a party location, to fashion show venue. Many of the events were organized solely by the artist, while some of them were collaborative endeavors.

Visitors could write a not expressing their well wishes to TTS before the door was ceremoniously sealed while funeral bagpipes music was played. Walker Walls Tarver and Gabbi Gutierrez created the table spread featured in the last two images.
